Worms Reloaded
Worms Reloaded is the first 2D Worms game on the PC since 2001. It’s also the best Worms game since then, keeping the fantastic gameplay completely intact but adding a plethora of excellently-implemented features. It’s not often you get to say words like these, but Worms Reloaded truly captures everything that made the old Worms games brilliant and translates it to HD perfectly.
About thirty seconds after launching the game for the first time, I was ready to explode with enjoyment. Not that I’d started a match or anything- I was just clicking though the choices of Worm voice packs. I loved them ten years ago, and I love them now- and Team17 have added even more. The old classics remain (I’m partial to “Stiff Upper Lip,” “Drill Instructor,” and “Thespian”), but there are some brand new ones too, including the incredibly odd “Cheese” voice set which includes such classics as “Brie-lliant!” and “Can’t see the woods for the cheese.”
